This is a REAL Fijian Village (with a REAL chief...who we met and presented a gift to allow us to visit - more on that later)

Our helicopter to/from the island. Only 10 minutes from Nadi. Or you can take a boat which takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
There was this "rock" next to our island. Every night bats would fly over from it to suck blood from young women. Well, not really. But that would have been pretty cool if they did.
One of 500 pictures I took from the helicopter. can you believe my daughter fell asleep? She's awake for the plane ride, but fell asleep on a 10 minute helicopter ride?! (sheez!)

Redneck Mommy - Absolutely! I'll post more once I'm caught up at work, but the place we stayed was perfect for either couples or parents with small kids (I would say around 2-5)
There wasn't much at all for teenager s or pre-teens. Unless they want to swim all day in the pool or snorkel in the ocean.
sourpatchbaby - with the suitcase we packed we could have probably fit 2 people.
wayabetty - No...we didn't see any Popeye's...only a McDonald's driving to the airport in Nadi. I'm guessing it's probably in Suva (the big city)

Whirlwind - the plane with a toddler wasn't easy. Getting there was 11.5 hours....but it was worth it the flight. The place was amazing.
